E33 (5) responded to Millfording Rd tonight at 19:17 with Silver Spring for a reported gas leak in a residence. Investigation found a garden hose hanger which was recently removed from the side of the house; apparently had been installed by the original homeowner and screwed into the gas line behind the wall; the new occupants removed it and began smelling gas. Crew secured gas at the meter and had UGI respond to the scene. Earlier calls were an overturned vehicle on the PA Turnpike and a Commercial Fire Alarm.

On a side note, the gas leak occurred while members from Northampton Fire Dept were on station visiting after being in the area for Fire Expo.
