Shortly before 1700, Units were dispatched to a reported Pole Fire on Old Stonehouse Rd in Middlesex Twp. The caller reported possible fire out and burning underground. Chief 33 and Chief 7 arrived in area with nothing visible along Old Stonehouse Rd. Chief 33 began to check a local business when the incident took a turn for the worse. An actively arcing pole began dropping fire onto gasoline and diesel fuel tanks. Chief 33 requested E33 be added. Mp33 (3) arrived and pulled a Safety Line just in case. E33 (5) arrived and positioned to supply if needed. PP&L had already been contacted and was updated on the urgency. Crews remained in place until PP&L arrived on scene. The incident never escalated further and crews cleared just before 18:00.
