Members were enjoying the nice weather and giving the rigs a bath outside when the 1st due House Fire was dropped on Long Bend Dr. E33 (6), T33 (2), U233 (2), and Chief 133 responded on dispatch. E33 laid out 500’ of 5” from closest hydrant to the scene and Tanker 33 going in to supply the Engine. One line was stretched off E33 to the second floor where crews encountered high heat and zero visibility. Less than 200 gallons of water were used to extinguish the fire. All occupants safely exited before the units arrived and searches inside confirmed this. The drywall in the house held and fire did not extend. Units were on scene almost 2 hours. Thanks to Fairview Twp for transferring to Station 33. This was the second fire in less than 24 hours and marked the 4th first due fire in less than 2 months. Thanks to the members for their dedication not only to the station but getting tools, packs, and gear washed.
