| At 14:08, township fire companies and mutual aid partners were dispatched to the 100 block of Texaco Road for a reported house fire. Chief 32 (Brown) was notified that the front of the house was on fire, and video sent to the Cumberland County Public Safety Department confirmed an active fire. The response was upgraded.
Engine 33, staffed with six firefighters, Squad 33 with three, and Traffic 33 responded to the scene. Engine 33 arrived six minutes after dispatch and deployed a hose line. Crews discovered fire in the crawl space, running to the ridge vent, believed to have been caused by an issue with the main electrical feed to the residence. Firefighters opened the ceiling in the front corner of the house, revealing flames which were extinguished quickly.
Contents inside the home were covered with tarps to protect them from water and debris damage. A small section of the roof was removed to confirm the fire was completely out. Additional fire was found around the chimney flashing as well as in the wall next to the chimney. The presence of staffed units and a rapid response helped save the home from extensive damage.
