| At 08:10 Monday morning, the Township Companies were dispatched to a fire alarm in the 200blk of Rich Valley Rd. Engines 33 and 31 responded with a crew of 4 each. During the response, information received indicated smoke in the building and the assignment was upgraded. Crews investigated and found a small fire above a walk in refrigerator/freezer unit and extinguished. Both floors of the facility required ventilation. The response was reduced to the Township Companies and Tower 45. Units were on scene about an hour. This incident could have escalated quickly had there not been the presence of a monitored fire alarm system. |
