| Engine 33, Brush 33, Traffic 33, and Chief 133 responded to a reported car fire that had spread into a brush fire on Interstate 81 southbound at mile marker 53.2 during the evening rush hour. Chief 145 arrived on scene, confirmed there was an active fire, and stopped traffic to allow Company 33 units to access the incident by traveling north in the southbound lanes from the crossover just north of Exit 52. Engine 33 deployed a hose line from the front bumper to put out the fire. Company 33 received assistance from Company 31 and Ambulance 72. |
