Do You Have What It Takes??

In the years following September 11, many volunteer organizations experienced a surge in new members as people across the country came together with a renewed sense of community. Fire companies also saw a significant increase in volunteers and public support during this period.

Nearly 25 years later, there has been a noticeable decline in volunteer participation. Many who once dedicated their time to serving have since moved on, often citing a lack of time or other personal reasons. The need for community involvement remains urgent, and there is a call for renewed commitment to service that places the well-being of others above individual interests.

If you are interested in making a meaningful difference, consider starting in your own community. Volunteer organizations are seeking individuals who are willing to stand on the front lines and dedicate themselves to teamwork and service. Becoming a member of a fire company means joining a group focused on collective effort, hard work, and mutual support, all with the goal of helping others.

Those living in Silver Spring or Middlesex Township who are ready to answer this call are encouraged to contact us. Applications are available for those who are committed to being part of a team and making a positive impact.
