Flashback Friday

This weeks Flashback Friday takes us back 10 years to our annual Festival. The Festival was a summer staple and the then largest fund raising activity for the fire company held the last weekend of July. For years the event was just Friday and Saturday and grew to Thursday and again to include Wednesday evening in order to attract decent ride vendors. There are many stories still told of the Festival - how new members were baptized into dipping ice cream, long lines waiting on food, how the soup used to made at the butcher shop, the dunk tank, egg drop, the lack of sleep, the good times, and the bad times when the event that needed nice weather to make a decent profit saw 4 nights of rain. The Festival will remain just that - a memory
