Engine and Tanker 33 responded early this morning to the 2000 blk of Harrisburg Pike for a tractor trailer fire. C7 and E33 arrived and began investigation holding off making access until the bill of lading could be verified. Crews made access to the trailer and discovered a Lithium Battery on the very first pallet inside the door with a light smoke condition. A forklift was used to remove the large battery out of the trailer. It was discovered that the battery was punctured during the loading process; fortunately there was no fire and the battery was then isolated on the property. Crews ventilated the trailer before breaking down the handling. E141 was also on the assignment and cleared once control was marked. Crews were on scene just over 1 hour.
