Wednesday evening, Cumberland County held its Fire and EMS Memorial Service at the Public Safety Building in Carlisle. The services held annually, honors firefighters and EMS professional who have passed away each year and those who were killed in the line of duty. This year the following names of New Kingstown Fire Company members were read along with others from across Cumberland County - Leonard S Foust, Douglas L. Morrow, Michael F. Strine, and Paul C. Rider. Company 33 had several members in attendance including two that were part of the Emergency Services Honor Guard - South Central Region. East Pennsboro EMT Johnathian Myers was professionally honored and a plaque added to the memorial; he died in the line of duty during 2021 as a result of a medical emergency.
