The past two Saturday mornings, Company 33 worked with staff from Traditions of America (TOA) Silver Spring changing batteries in smoke alarms. This is the second year for this event. Numerous batteries were changed including some that required our largest “little giant” ladder to reach. This is a 55 and over community and the residents in most cases do not have the means to change these batteries. This is one of busier developments call volume wise and it’s not uncommon for us to be in this development several times a week. Thank you to our members that sacrificed these hours to ensure the residents have peace of mind knowing their alarms are in working order!!
