Engine 33 participated with several of the 21 covered grant companies from the Capital Region at a press release Wednesday evening held at HACC Public Safety Training Center. The four-year grant, focused on recruiting, training, and retaining members will be coming to an end in November 2025. Until that point, the focus now is directed to attract 100 teens to become members of your local fire company. Junior FF Goodman was honored to be part of the press release and talked briefly about his involvement in the fire company urging teens to Step Up, Gear Up, and Join. Several of the crew spoke with various media outlets. Engine 33 and crew performed a short demonstration for the media, along with several other companies attending. Learn more by contacting your local volunteer fire company or visit the website linked in this post. Thanks to Dustin Weese for the group photo.
