Squad 33 returned from Glick earlier this evening after obtaining its annual maintenance, service, and state inspection. Like any department, the key to being in service is proper maintenance and service of its equipment. Unfortunately, this comes with some down time, however, it also limits our downtime overall. The Squad is by far our busiest and most used rig, basically running “tri-county” for RIT and other incidents. Mini Pumper 33 handle its fair share this month running in place of the Squad or second out. Engine 33 also received its annual service and state inspection the week prior. With July being “service” month, we are glad to have all the rigs back in station and available for calls. Thanks to the staff at Glick Fire Equipment Company for their top notch work as usual! |
