Thank you to all the restoration crews that worked today to get Locust Point Rd reopened for the evening commute! We appreciate all the hard work involved with replacing the pole, getting lines back up, and restoring power. Station 33 ran most of the day on its back up generator, which provides full back up power to our entire facility. With Hempt Rd being closed for the bridge construction, Locust Point Rd has seen an increase in traffic volume, especially during the morning and evening hours. Silver Spring Police are investigating the cause of the incident.
