The New Kingstown Fire Company announces that "Brush 33" has been placed into service. Brush 33 is a 2001 Ford F550/E-One, previously serving at Silver Spring Community Fire Company as Mini Pumper 31. A lateral transfer of ownership was approved in the fall of 2025 between companies so that we could begin working on preparing it for service. Members performed as much work "in house" to ready the rig for service. A few upgrades were performed, which included a booster reel, new tires, equipment mounts, and lettering/striping, by various partners in our community. Brush 33 will respond on incidents, as needed, which do not require the larger apparatus - however it is equipped to function as an attack piece in many of our limited access areas.
