| Silver Spring Township has reopened the position of "Fire Inspector/Public Safety Officer."
POSITION SUMMARY: The role of the Fire Inspector/Public Safety Officer is a fast-paced
position. The position includes code enforcement, inspections, fire safety & education and
responding to Fire and EMS incidents. The Public Safety Officer will support fire/rescue
emergencies for the two fire companies in Silver Spring Township (Silver Spring Community Fire
Company and New Kingstown Fire Company). The Public Safety Officer also provides assistance to
EMS with patient care/handling at the scene of Emergency Medical incidents as needed.
Functions: Fire Inspections, Emergency Responses, Code Enforcement, Public Education,
assist with tracking and enforcement of all Township Public Safety Ordinances including Knox
Boxes, Fire Hydrants, Burning Permits.
