Over the past several days, New Kingstown has been in the spot light from several news affiliates as part of the Capital Region Firefighter Campaign. From Tuesday night's training to live broadcasts Thursday morning, we are doing everything we can to get the word out that volunteers are needed to "step up" as new recruits for local fire companies.

Recently launched, the Capital Region Firefighter's new recruitment competition: East Shore vs. West Shore — Who Does It Better?

The goal of the competition is to recruit more volunteer firefighters to all of our fire companies, through a friendly competition between companies on the east and west shores of the Susquehanna River.
